I used an electric sander to remove all the paint from the exterior of my 1994 Nissan Sentra Limited Edition. I saved the dust that came from the car during the sanding and mixed it with oil to make ink. I used all of the ink to make as many prints as I could. I got 243.
Each "Limited Edition" dust-print comes with two others:
1) A field of Dupli-Color Hot Rod Gray, which is the paint I used on the car after stripping the paint
2) A short text page detailing the process and its results.
Produced in 2010. The paint-dust and text prints were made on a Vandercook letterpress. Each print is 19" x 12.5" and is signed by the artist.
